Houston, we have footage.

Awhile back Lebron James hosted his annual skills camp where he was dunked upon by Xavier’s Jordan Crawford.  This tape was promptly confiscated by big brother… er Nike?  Everyone knows this story.  What you probably don’t know is that TMZ claims that they have footage of this infamous dunk. (Yea, it’s that TMZ.  You know, the celebrity stalking e-tabloid.)  Apparently not only do they have footage, but they will debuting it live todat at 6:45 est.  That’s when we find out if this is actually a big deal.TMZ

As I mentioned once before, I don’t think this is a big deal no matter what the talking-head pundits claim.  They should’ve spun this positively instead of opting for this ridiculous gag order.  They, Nike and Lebron, have armies of publicists and PR people, don’t tell me they couldn’t have done it.  “Anything’s Possible” would work. Lebron is human afterall despite all the evidence suggesting otherwise.

Jordan Crawford Dunks On Lebron James (tape was found)

News has circulated about Xavier guard Jordan Crawford dunking on Lebron James in Akron, Ohio at James’ summer league camp. Rumor has it that as soon as soon as Crawford surprised James with this amazing dunk that Nike representatives went over and confiscated all the tapes and possible video footage from anybody who could have possibly recorded Crawford’s move. Nobody is allowed to dunk on the King in his own house. Too bad we have the footage of Crawford doing so.

Lebron Posterized

An interesting note before I go to bed.  According to CBS, Nike has confiscated all cameras that were rolling when Lebron James was dunked on by Xavier’s Jordan Crawford at Lebron’s Skills Academy. I’m not sure what the hell Nike is thinking, obviously Lebron is human and it’s not the first or last time he will be dunked upon.  In my mind, depending on the magnitude of the posterization, Nike could even spin it positively.  Maybe a new ad campaign claiming, “anything’s possible.”  Baron davis’ dunk on “AK47” would be mandatory ad material.

Also, ESPN is reporting that Shawn Marion is heading to the Mavericks in a complex sign and trade.  I’m too tired to explain it so here is the link. Supposedly Antonio McDyess is on his way to the Spurs and Andy Varejao is a Cav again.

Look for my upcoming preview of the Oregon Ducks Mens Basketball team.  Okay I’m going to bed.  Happy hoooping.
